WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLEHEADER IN NEWARK

World-championship boxing will return to Newark for the first time in 60 years when International Boxing Federation cruiserweight champion Steve “USS” Cunningham (21-1, 11 KOs) defends his title against Polish-born former world champion Tomasz Adamek (35-1, 24 KOs) at the sparkling-new Prudential Center on Thursday, Dec 11. VERSUS will air the Cunningham-Adamek bout, as well as a championship co-feature, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.

Steve “USS” Cunningham – IBF Cruiserweight Champion (21-1, 11 KOs)

Joseph King Kong Agbeko – IBF Bantamweight Champion (25-1, 22 KOs)

William Gonzalez – IBF No. 1 & Mandatory Challenger at 118 lbs. (21-2, 19 KOs)

Devon Alexander “The Great” – Undefeated WBC No. 1 at 140 lbs. (16-0, 9 KOs)

Henry Crawford – Undefeated Paterson, N.J., Welterweight (19-0-1, 8 KOs)

Jeremy Bryan – Undefeated Paterson, N.J., Jr. Welterweight (7-0, 3 KOs)

Patrick Farrell – Pro Debut (Jersey City, N.J.)

The last time a world championship boxing match was hosted in Newark, N.J., was in 1948 when Tony Zale and Rocky Graziano met in the rubber match of their epic three-fight trilogy.
